Festage Hire have been given the amazing privilege to work with, and continue the success of Dilly Dally Traditional Bunting Hire. Due to the exciting launch of a new venture, we will now fully stock their beautiful collection for all hiring purposes.

Our entire collection of bunting has been handmade by us, at home on our own girls, using a beautiful selection of cherry picked designs, from top quality name fabrics including Cath Kidston, Laura Ashley, Clarke and Clarke, Swaffer, Marson and many more.

We have made a name for ourselves due to our extensive and beautiful collection which we have built up over the years. However, just being beautiful is not enough for our hire bunting! It also has to last season after season of endless man-handling and stringent laundering and still look as good as the day it was made.

We have perfected our manufacturing technique to tick both boxes, ensuring that when you open your bunting box you will fall in love with it, just like hundreds of happy customers have before.

Bunting Questions and Answers

How much bunting will I need?

This will depend on your venue type, size, desired look and budget. Your venue should be able to offer you advise and layout plans, but its always a good idea to have a plan yourself. We find the best way to start is to draw a basic diagram showing the following:

  1. Length and width and feet and /or metres (Also make a note of the height)
  2. Position of any fixed poles, posts, chandeliers etc 
  3. Crosshatch over any areas to be excluded from bunting eg. catering areas, band pits etc
  4. You may also benefit from adding in any tables and seating at the appropriate positions

Now you have a visual guide with all the necessary information and measurements, you will probably start to get an idea of where you would like the bunting, and can start working out the basics of how much you are likely to need.

We suggest you use the perimeter as a starting block, as the quantity that goes all around the edges is usually enough to do something in the middle area, and will give you a rough idea of the possible costs involved. To find this measurement, simply add up all the measurements of your walls, and then divide them by the length of the bunting strings, this will give you the string number required. 

Can I use the bunting outside?

As a general rule we do ask that the bunting stays as indoor bunting only. Due to the bunting being handmade and 100% cotton it doesn’t like the temperamental English weather.

Who dresses the venue?

Due to the hectic nature of the hire season, we are just not able to be everywhere all at the same time so we have to leave this responsibility with you to organise. The bride and groom will often hang it themselves the day before the wedding and arrange for family members to take it down and re package ready for collection. Occasionally venue or marquee staff will put the bunting up and take it back down but this must be organised directly with them and please don’t not assume that they will.

Please make sure that both you and them are fully aware of the times/dates that the bunting must be packed and ready for return to us as this is also your responsibility. Our bunting is very popular and generally hired out most weekends therefore we need the bunting back on time to make sure we have it available for the next bride and groom

2018 Hire Prices and terms

Each of our strings are 12 meters long and are charged at £18 for all designs. Payments can be made via bank transfer, debit or credit card, and PayPal and bookings are only confirmed once initial payment has been received. 

Our booking fees include a 50% non refundable deposit. Should you need to cancel your booking prior to your event date, please let us know as soon as possible. Any monies minus the deposit element will be returned to you via Paypal.

We require any remaining payment to be made 7 days before your event date. 

Fees are for the hire of bunting supplies only and do not include any additional services. If you would like for us to organise a courier service, this will be discussed with you separately and invoice accordingly. You can alternatively arrange to collect and return the bunting yourself.

Due to the standard of bunting and the care we have taken to maintain its quality we also ask for a £100 fully  refundable deposit which will be returned to you after we have received the bunting back in its original state. 

The care of and hanging/taking down of the bunting remains your responsibility entirely for the duration of the event.
